Reclamation, a collage constructed from over thirty photographs, reflects on the discarded trash of modern life. The geometry, textures and colours of junked cars and rusted metal have their own strange and grotesque beauty. The green vines weaving their way around and through the detritus are a reminder of the earth’s resilience and its capacity to regenerate. These vines offer a certain optimism in a time of environmental challenge, and highlight the movement from destruction to hope.
Reclamation is printed on vinyl (50x36). The finials are constructed of found metal. |
