In Steel Trees (v) taken at the Whitewater Canyon Preserve in Coachella Valley, the commanding mountains and billowing clouds juxtapose with the austere line of the windmills and offer a moment of grace. The windmills in Steel Trees remind us that, in the face of climate chaos, we confront the challenge of preserving the planet, persevering, protecting and re-inventing.
